27. Go to the theatre. COMPLETED 11.04.09

So last night I went with the family to see La Cage aux Follies with Graham Norton at the Playhouse Theatre in London.

We travelled to London in the car, parked on the outskirts and got the Tube into Charing Cross. From there it was just a stroll up the street, a wave at Nelsons Column and we were there.

We picked the tickets up, left Mum and Bruv getting the drinks in at the Sherlock Holmes pub, then Sis and I walked over the Thames on the Jubilee Bridge, admiring the view of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament on one side of the river, and the London Eye on the other.

We headed back to the pub for a swift half, then headed into the theatre. We were right up in the gods, so high we could practically touch the beautifully painted ceiling, and although the view wasn't brilliant, they were the only tickets we could get, so we made do.

The show was spectacular although I'm not completely convinced that Graham Norton's voice was completely up to it, he struggled to hit a couple of notes towards the end of the show, but the 'showgirls' and the guys that played George and Zaza's maid were fabulous! It was definitely a fun night out! Will have to check the film out again and see how it matches up!

Hi !

I recently read your blog and your references to the novel "Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold. Your interesting viewpoints sparked me to ask you if you would be interested in participating in a video survey I'm currently working on. This research is for internal marketing purposes on behalf of the movie studios. The novel was made into a movie by Peter Jackson and will come out late this year. It has been picked as a front-runner for next year's Oscars (http://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/2330267/Peter-Jackson-causes-stir-at-airshow)

Let me know if you are interested, the questions are regarding the book and its themes and whether you would go see the upcoming movie and if not why etc.

Thank you.

Best,
